Why you should clean your shower head?

Showering should be more of an “ahhh” than an “ugh” experience. That’s why you should know how to clean a shower head, as a dirty, clogged-up fixture can make what is supposed to be a relaxing experience the exact opposite.

The average household shower is used at least 2-3 times a day, that’s a lot of build up over a year.

When you should clean your shower head?

  • To keep the water flowing forcefully from your shower head, you should clean it from time to time.
  • If your shower has seen better days and only delivers a trickle of water, cleaning the shower head may restore the powerful stream of water you miss.
  • Once the openings, or nozzles, become blocked, the shower head is a dark, moist, warm place for bacteria and mold to grow. It's time to clean your shower head.
  • Is your shower head failing to perform as well as it once did? If so, then chances are good that it’s time to clean the shower head, eliminating scaly buildup within the fixture in order to restore the strength of its flow.

Shower heads get clogged with build-up, become mildewed, and potentially develop bacteria!

Unclogging shower heads is easy to do, and you’ll be happy that you spent the small amount of time required to complete the task.
